Can I sign up at any time during the semester?
Yes! However, students who sign up close to a concert date will not be guaranteed a spot in the concert lineup.
I am not currently taking private lessons. Can I still enroll at AoRM?
It is strongly recommended that students sign up for and remain in private instruction throughout their enrollment at AoRM. The Academy of Rock Music is not intended to be a substitute for the benefits a one on one private lesson has to offer. Please contact Ron Lowder or Vasili Simmons if you would like to be referred to a qualified instructor.
What equipment should I bring to rehearsals?
Guitarist – your guitar, a tuner, a guitar strap, a cord and guitar pics
Bassist – your bass, a tuner, a guitar strap, a cord and pics (if necessary)
Drummer – your sticks
Keyboardist – everything provided
Vocalist – everything provided
** All students should bring their own pair of earplugs and a notebook & pen to each rehearsal. **
I’m a beginner at my instrument. Can I still sign up for AoRM?
Yes! Song arrangements are catered towards the skill level of the player. A student’s ability will never become an issue as long as they remain in private lessons and continue to practice hard at their craft.
